Wojciech Kurowski, Ph.D.
Doctor of Philosophy in Economics, assistant professor at the Institute of Value Management, SGH Warsaw School of Economics. Formerly an employee of the Polish Securities and Exchange Commission (Enforcement Department) and board member of an IT company. Co-founder of several tech start-ups devoted to, among others, the commercialization of big data. His research focuses on the creation of value in the digital are, with special emphasis on the automation and decentralization of value streams. He’s the author of Mafia 2.0. Jak organizacje przestępcze kreują wartość w erze cyfrowej (Mafia 2.0: How Criminal Organizations Create Value in the Digital Age). At SGH, he lectures in “Big Data,” “Blockchain,” and “Tech Start-ups,” and serves as an advisor to the “Data Science Management” and “Blockchain Technology and Digital Currencies” academic organizations. He graduated from the University of Białystok (School of Law) and the SGH Warsaw School of Economics, and held a doctoral fellowship at the Cork Institute of Technology in Ireland.
